CIRED 2017

The 24th International Conference & Exhibition on Electricity Distribution (CIRED) will be in Glasgow, Scotland at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC). The conference will be held from June 12-15, 2017.

Abstracts are currently being reviewed and authors will be notified on 4 November 2016.

Registration is opening soon at www.cired-2017.org.

2016 CIRED Workshop

The CIRED Workshop is held independently every two years between the main CIRED conference.

The 2016 workshop entitled "Electrical networks for society and people" will look at business models and their technical solutions enabling smart distribution grids.

The 2016 workshop will give members of the electrical community the opportunity to come together to share their wealth of knowledge and network with prestigious international businesses.

The CIRED 2015 conference took place in Lyon on 15-18 June 2015.

Papers for CIRED 2015 due January 16

CIRED 2015 received a record number of 1635 abstract submissions. Of these, the CIRED Technical Committee selected 832 abstracts for CIRED 2015. Nineteen papers with a lead author from the United States were preliminarily accepted. The list of papers is posted online.

The full papers for abstracts that were preliminary accepted for CIRED 2015 are due at the latest by January 16. Online registration is open now.

CIRED 2015 Call for Papers Now Available

Do not miss the opportunity to present a paper at CIRED 2015 in Lyon, France on 15-18 June 2015.

Prospective authors are invited to submit an abstract of two A4 pages (including diagrams and illustrations) by September 12 , 2014. Successful authors will be invited to submit a full paper by January 16, 2015.

The conference will be structured according to six sessions: 

  1. Network Components
  2. Power Quality and Electromagnetic Compatibility
  3. Operation, Control, and Protection
  4. Distributed Energy Resources and Active Demand Integration
  5. Planning of Power Distribution Systems
  6. Challenges of DSO Regulation & Competitive Market
